Frequently Asked Questions

We have listed some of the most common questions that we often get asked.

Return Policies

Refunds are only availble if the item is returned within 24 hours. Otherwise a credit note will be issued which has no expiry date and can be used towards anything in our Boutique or Spa.

Please note, if you are returning an item purchased online you have 5 days to return your items and the refund can take up to 5-10 days to go back into your account. 

Cancellations

We ask that you give us at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel an appointment otherwise 50% of the treatment will be charged. Please call the Spa directly to cancel appointments, contact details can be found above.

Please note that we will be requesting credit card details to secure your booking online. 

Gift Vouchers

Our Gift Vouchers online start from £25 and range up to £250. If you select to have your voucher posted, they are posted first class, free of charge and come sealed in gold envelope with a treatment list inside. Our Gift Vouchers can be added to, or used over several visits and can be redeemed against any of our Beauty Treatments, Spa Days or Promotions plus any of our Clothing, Products or Accessories in our Boutique.

Covid Precautions

Before enetering our Spa and Boutique we ask you to please ensure you wash your hands and use the hand sanitiser provided.

Masks are optional in our boutique as we have lots of air flow, however please be aware that you may be asked to put on your mask if the shop gets busy. We have a 2 meter one way sytem in place.

When having treatments in our Spa. we ask you kindly to please wear a face covering in the treatment rooms. All of our therapists wear face coverings at all times and when performing treatments outside of the treatment rooms they are behind screens.

Therapist Request

If you wish to request your therapist please mention when booking your appointment with us and we will do our best to accomadate your request.  When making an online booking you can check their availability and request your chosen therapist personally by clicking the red heart. 

Hen Parties

We allow small hen parties however please be aware we are a Spa so noise must be kept at a minimum. We request that you please call us in advance to arrange your day.

Can I make a Spa Booking online?

Visit the Spa page on our website and you’ll be able to make a booking.

At this time, not all of our treatments are able to be booked online, so if you can’t see what you are looking for then please feel free to phone/email us. Where available, you will be able to click through to our bookings page where you will be able to view treatments and confirm your booking.

How early should I arrive for my treatment?

If you are new to Esse we ask that you arrive 10 minutes before your appointment in order to fill out a form. If you wish to enjoy a complimentry Tea/Coffee in our Little Cafe or browse in our Boutique then please do feel free to arrive as early as you wish.

Please note that if you arrive late, your appointment may be shortened out of consideration to the next customer.

Can I receive a treatment if I am pregnant?

We offer a specialised menu of maternity treatments with our fully qualified Pregancy trained therapists. 

Please note our pregnancy and safety policy: No treatments can be given in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy. Please ensure you inform us on how many weeks you are upon booking. 

Should I mention an existing health condition?

Yes, please advise us of any health conditions past or present and any medication you are taking when booking your appointment.
